Cookie Policy

Last updated: 05.05.2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Coders Duo Studio uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on codersduostudio.com (the “Site”). It complements our Privacy Policy.

The use of cookies on this Site is governed by:

  • Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC)
  • The GDPR applies to any personal data processed via cookies

Visitors from other EU member states are protected by their own national rules; we apply the strictest standard for all visitors.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies – localStorage, sessionStoragepixel tags and fingerprinting are treated equivalently under EU law and are also covered by this policy.

A cookie may be:

  • First-party (set by the Site you are visiting) or third-party (set by another domain)
  • Session (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent (remains for a set period)
  • Strictly necessary (essential for the service to work) or non-essential (require your prior consent)

Under EU law, cookies that are not strictly necessary may only be loaded after you have given prior, informed, specific, and freely given consent. We respect this rule.

When you first visit the Site (after passing the age gate), our cookie consent banner appears. You can:

  • Accept all non-essential cookies
  • Reject all non-essential cookies
  • Customise your choice category by category

Rejecting cookies has the same prominence as accepting them. We do not use:

  • Pre-ticked boxes
  • “Cookie walls” that block access if you refuse
  • Dark patterns that nudge you toward acceptance
  • Implied consent from continued browsing

You can change your choice at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

3. Categories of cookies

These cookies are technically necessary for the Site to function. Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and §103 of the ESS, prior consent is not required.

Cookie name Purpose Provider Type Duration
cds_age_verified Records you have confirmed you are 18 or older First party Persistent 30 days
cmplz_* Stores your cookie consent choices First party Persistent 365 days
wordpress_* WordPress login session (only set if you log in) First party Session Session
wordpress_logged_in_* WordPress login state First party Persistent 14 days
wp-settings-* WordPress admin preferences First party Persistent 1 year

The age verification cookie does not contain personal data – it only records that the gate has been passed.

We do not currently use any functional cookies. If we add functionality such as language preference or layout customisation in future, we will update this table and request consent.

If we deploy analytics, we will only do so after you have given consent. We are committed to using privacy-first analytics tools that minimise data collection.

If we adopt a cookieless analytics tool such as Plausible, Fathom, or Simple Analytics, no cookies are set, and the consent requirement does not apply.

As of the date above, no analytics cookies are set on the Site.

We do not currently set marketing cookies on the Site. Tracking pixels in newsletter emails (e.g., Mailchimp open- and click-tracking) operate independently of the Site itself; for those, see our Privacy Policy, Section 3.

4. Third-country transfers via cookies

Some cookie providers (notably Google and Cloudflare) are established in the United States. When you consent to cookies set by these providers, your personal data, such as your IP address, may be transferred to a third country. We rely on:

  • The EU–US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision of 10 July 2023, where the recipient is a participating organisation
  • Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, with supplementary measures where necessary

You can withdraw consent at any time via the footer link in the Cookie settings.

5. How to control cookies

Use Accept all, Reject all, or Customise when the banner appears, or click Cookie settings in the footer at any time.

Through your browser

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies (such as the age-gate cookie) may prevent the Site from functioning correctly.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an expression of consent withdrawal for non-essential cookies and analogous tracking, regardless of which jurisdiction’s law applies.

Your cookie consent choice is recorded by our consent management platform along with a timestamp and the version of this policy in force at the time. This record is kept as evidence of consent for as long as required by law (typically a minimum of 3 years).

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Access and delete cookie data we hold about you (where it constitutes personal data) – see our Privacy Policy Section 7

8. Changes to this policy

If we add, remove, or materially change cookies, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Material changes – such as adding a new tracking technology – will trigger a fresh consent prompt.

9. Visitors outside the EU/EEA

We apply EU cookie-consent rules as our baseline for all visitors. If you are visiting from a jurisdiction with different rules:

  • United Kingdom: the UK GDPR and PECR apply; rules are substantially similar to EU rules.
  • California, US: if applicable to us, the CCPA’s “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” rights are respected via the Global Privacy Control signal.
  • Other jurisdictions: we apply EU standards as a floor; your local law may grant additional rights.
